How do I order software from ISPsystem.Com?
If you order our software product for the first time, go to its the Pricelist/Order page and click "Order". For more information see the page ''How to purchase our services".
If you have the account in our billing system, go to the Services section -> the Software module and click “New”. Provide a software type and IP-address the license will be assigned to.
How to transfer a license from one account to another?
If you want to transfer the license from one billing account to another, users of these two accounts need to confirm this operation.
Please note that "Partner" licenses can be transferred only between accounts that have a "partner" status. If you want a "partner" license to be transferred to a common account, you should pay for the standard license.
How to upgrade/downgrade a license?
First, you should change a license type. Go to BILLmanager -> the Software module -> double-click the license which type you wish to change. Choose a new license type in the form that will be displayed and click "OK" to apply changes.
Possible variants:
- If you purchase a one month license, depending on whether you upgrade or downgrade it, its validity period will either decrease or increase.
- If you purchase a lifetime license and upgrade it from Lite to Pro, you should pay for the difference between the costs of these license.
- If you have a lifetime license and downgrade it from Pro to Lite, the difference between their costs WILL NOT be returned to you. But you may upgrade it free of charge any time you wish.
Once the license type has been successfully modified, you should update your server software to run on a new license. To carry out the following operations you should access your server as root via SSH.
- To upgrade Lite to Pro run the command /usr/local/ispmgr/sbin/up2prof.sh
- To downgrade from Pro to Lite run the command /usr/local/ispmgr/sbin/down2lite.sh
What system requirements do I need?
Fresh installation is recommended. You should install a minimal version of the operating system. Default operating system should not include any additional packages. The server must have an outgoing internet connection and a static IP address.
How to partition my hard disk?
For ISPmanager we recommend that you put your entire hard disk into one partition. For VDSmanager we usually partition the drive into two partitions, the Root "/" partition (4Gb), and the web server "/vs" partition.
How to download the distribution file?
All you need is to download the installation script (http://download.ispsystem.com/install.sh), run (sh install.sh) and follow the installation instructions.
Are there any special requirements for ISPmanager installation?
Server software will be installed from the system repository or FreeBSD ports. To run the ISPmanager software, include /usr/local/ispmgr/etc/ispmgr.inc to Apache configuration file.
How do I change the IP that my license is bound to?
Log in to BILLmanager and change the IP-address in license properties. You can change your IP once a month.
When I create new mailboxes, how can I log in to them?
Usually, a login name is the same as email address (user@example.com). Remember to enable smtp-auth for your login and password.
