Server protection in ispmanager with IP2Location
Since release 6.102 for ispmanager, IP2Location can block access to users from certain countries, thereby protecting your server from attacks.
IP2Location is an alternative to MaxMind. You can use MaxMind in ispmanager if you have a license key. For more info, see the ispmanager documentation →
How to configure IP2Location in ispmanager:
1. Go to the “Firewall” tab in the left side-menu. Select “Country Blocking”.
2. Click “Country Blocking Settings”.
3. Register using the link in IP2Location.
4. Click “Save” after completing the registration and confirming your email.
5. Wait for the country database data to be updated, it should take no more than half an hour.
6. Then, select one or several countries for IP blocking.
7. Click “Block”.
