Adding a user backup to a server storage

Adding a user backup to a server storage

To add an individual backup, you need to import the full user archive from the local directory using the User Import tool.

The full backup copy has the filename format FYYYY-MM-DD.user.tgz.part1, where:

  • F is a prefix indicating a file of a full user backup,
  • YYYY-MM-DD is the date the backup was created in the year-month-day format,
  • user is the username whose data is stored in the backup,
  • tgz is the archive format,
  • part1 is the volume number of the backup if it is divided into several volumes.

To add a user copy, go to the Users section and click on Import, and then on the New Import button.

In the newly opened tab of the panel:

  • Select the Ispmanager 6 and click Next.
  • As the data loading method select Import via a backup copy and in the Loading the backup copy block select the option Upload data from a local archive or catalog.
  • In the directory tree, specify the path to the directory with the files of the user's full backup and click Next, and then Import.

After this, the selected user backup will be added to the storage and will be available without the need to scan the storage again.

User data can be restored with the backup system.
