How to activate ispmanager license and what to do if errors occur
Read through this article to find out how to activate ispmanager 6 license and resolve any errors that arise.
Automatic activation
To activate the license on the server automatically, specify the IP address of your server in the license settings in your ispmanager personal cabinet.
1. Go to the "Licenses" section → select the license → click on the three dots → "Change" → specify the IP address of the server where the ispmanager panel is located.
How the process looks:
2. In the ispmanager panel go to "License Management" → "Update license data".
Alternatively, connect to the server with the panel through SSH and execute the command:
/usr/local/mgr5/sbin/licctl fetch ispmgr
Activate on the server with a key
Activation with a key is necessary when there is no public IP address on the server's network interface, for example, servers behind NAT. For more information on NAT, see — the documentation
What to do:
1. Copy the activation key. Go to your ispmanager personal cabinet → "Licenses" section → select license → "View" → your license key.
What the license key looks like:
2. Activate the key. In your ispmanager panel go to "License Management" and paste the copied activation key.
Activation errors and how to solve them
If the license is not activated automatically — check whether your server has access to the ispmanager license server. To do so, to connect to your server with the panel via SSH and check the license log.
If you don’t have access to the license servers, you will see a corresponding warning:
main WARNING Got bad result from https://212.109.222.131/mgr5.45.state
Check whether there is access to the license servers:

To check, use utility cURL

curl -i -v http://212.109.222.131/mgr5.45.state
You will get a value of HTTP/1.0 200 OK
in the response, which means that there is access to the license servers. If there is no access, so you need to solve some network problems.
If in log licctl.log
you see message Good result from...
it means that the response from the license server was received.

Log errors. If the commands from the previous paragraph failed to activate the key, check the log for errors.
