Changing user limits in ispmanager 6

Changing user limits in ispmanager 6

Symptoms

When creating sites, databases, FTP users or other entities, a warning about limits being exceeded appears.

For example:

  • "The user <user> has exceeded the maximum number of domain names. (allocated: 2)"
  • "The user <user> has exceeded the maximum number of FTP users. (allocated: 3)"

Causes

The limits (restrictions) set by the administrator or by a user settings template have been exceeded.

Solution

If you have regular user rights in the ispmanager panel, please contact the server administrator to change your limits.

If you have administrative access to the panel, go to the “Users” section, select the desired user, click the “Edit” button (a pencil icon) and increase the limits in the “Restrictions” section.

Please note that if the limit is set to “0”, the user will not see the corresponding item in the main menu.

For example, if the “Number of mail domains” parameter value is set to “0”, the “Mail” section will not be displayed in the menu.
